If you never signed in

You don't need an account to use the app, and if you never signed in there is no account to delete. Everything the app saved is on your phone, and uninstalling the app deletes it.

Delete your account in the app

1. Open the app and go to Settings → Account & sharing.
2. Tap Delete account, read what will be deleted, and tap Continue.
3. Type the word the app shows you (DELETE in English) and tap Delete my account.

You are signed out, and a message confirms that your account has been deleted.

Ask us to delete it without the app

If you no longer have the app, or can't open it, email support@pinjula.com with the subject "Delete my account". Send it from the email address of the Apple or Google account you signed in with, or write that address in the message. If you used Apple's "Hide My Email", give the relay address Apple created for this app — your Apple Account settings list it under Sign in with Apple.

To be sure the request comes from you, we reply to that address and delete the account once you confirm. We complete the request within one month at the latest.

What is deleted, and when

At once, when the deletion goes through:

• your account, and the ratings and notes kept with it
• your membership of a household: your name, age band and portion size there, and everything declared about you — allergens, diets, intolerances, disliked ingredients
• the consents you gave in that household, including those you gave for people without an account, which are marked as withdrawn

If you owned the household, ownership passes to the member with an account who joined earliest. While other members with an account remain, the people added without an account — children, for example — stay in the household with what was declared for them, managed from then on by its owner, even though the consent you gave for them is now marked withdrawn. If you want them off our server, remove them from the household before you delete your account. If you were its last member with an account, the whole household is deleted from our server with you — including people added without an account and everything declared about them.

Normally within fifteen minutes: your sign-in — the email address, name and account identifier Apple or Google shared, and your sessions — is deleted from our authentication provider, Supabase. If that fails, we retry every fifteen minutes or so for a few hours, then pause for a day and start again, until it succeeds; until then your sign-in stays there, and the request stays on file as an internal account number so that the deletion can be finished.

What is kept, and why

• A marker, for 30 days. Where you were in a household, a marker with no name or other personal information stays for 30 days so that the other phones in the household learn you have left. Then it is erased.
• Unused invitation codes you created stop working at once; their record, which holds no personal information, is erased with the marker after 30 days.
• A record that consent was asked. Records of which consent text was agreed to, in which language, on which date, and when it was withdrawn are kept, with their link to you removed, so they name nobody. The law requires us to be able to show that consent was asked (GDPR Article 7(1)).
• Dish names. A dish name you asked us to write a recipe for was counted with no link to your account or your phone. The count keeps the dates each name was first and last asked for.
• Reports about a recipe. A problem you reported with a recipe was stored with no link to your account or your phone, so deleting your account cannot find it. It is deleted 12 months after you sent it — or sooner if you write to us with enough to find it (the recipe, the day and the words of your note).
• Service logs. Cloudflare, which runs our server, keeps a record of each request for up to seven days — the time, the address requested, the IP address, the approximate location Cloudflare works out from it, and the request's technical headers. Google keeps the requests made to its Gemini AI for 55 days to detect misuse. Supabase keeps its own logs of sign-in events under its log retention for our project. All three are kept to run and secure the service.

What stays on phones

Deleting your account doesn't delete what the app saved on your phone — your pantry, calendar, cookbook, favorites, ratings and the people on your household list. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it, and so does clearing the app's storage in your phone's settings.

The phones of the other people in your household keep you on their own list, with what was declared for you, so that their food is not suddenly filtered less carefully without them knowing. They can remove you there.

Apple and Google

Deleting your account removes it from our service. It does not remove this app from the apps connected to your Apple Account or Google Account; you can remove it there yourself — for Apple, under Sign in with Apple in your Apple Account settings; for Google, under third-party connections in your Google Account's security settings.

A subscription is not cancelled by deleting your account. If you subscribed to Pinjula Premium, cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions; until you do, the store keeps renewing it.

• Bir tarif hakkındaki raporlar. Bir tarifte bildirdiğin bir sorun hesabınla ya da telefonunla hiçbir bağ kurulmadan saklandı; bu yüzden hesabını silmek onu bulamaz. Gönderdiğin günden 12 ay sonra silinir — onu bulmamıza yetecek kadarını (tarifi, günü ve notunun sözlerini) yazarak bize ulaşırsan daha önce.
• Hizmet kayıtları. Sunucumuzu çalıştıran Cloudflare her isteğin kaydını en fazla yedi gün tutar — zaman, istenen adres, IP adresi, Cloudflare'in ondan çıkardığı yaklaşık konum ve isteğin teknik başlıkları. Google, Gemini yapay zekâsına yapılan istekleri kötüye kullanımı tespit etmek için 55 gün tutar. Supabase kendi giriş olayı kayıtlarını, projemiz için uyguladığı kayıt saklama süresince tutar. Üçü de hizmeti çalıştırmak ve güvende tutmak için tutulur.

Telefonlarda ne kalır

Hesabını silmek, uygulamanın telefonuna kaydettiklerini silmez — dolabın, takvimin, yemek defterin, favorilerin, puanların ve hane listendeki kişiler. Uygulamayı kaldırmak bunların hepsini siler; telefonunun ayarlarından uygulamanın depolamasını temizlemek de.

Hanendeki diğer kişilerin telefonları seni, senin için beyan edilenlerle birlikte kendi listelerinde tutar; böylece yemekleri, haberleri olmadan birden daha gevşek süzülmez. Seni orada kaldırabilirler.

Apple ve Google

Hesabını silmek onu hizmetimizden kaldırır. Hesabını silmek aboneliği iptal etmez. Pinjula Premium'a abone olduysan aboneliği App Store'daki ya da Google Play'deki aboneliklerinden iptal et; iptal edene kadar mağaza yenilemeye devam eder.
